Marine

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Marine is ready to find her people. She is a beautiful 3 year old girl who is chipped as a dalmatian cross After her routine spay, Marine became incredibly unwell and was diagnosed with renal issues. These are almost fully resolved within just a few weeks, and it was likely a reaction to the anaesthetic. She is still currently on a renal diet but no medication. Luna will cover vet work related to Marine's renal recovery for her future Marine is happy to be an only dog but loves meeting up with friends for walks or runs, and is a fast and active dog. She loves canicross and can be seen sporting a harness and running already a decent length of about 5k she will be wanting an active home, where people want to be walking/running and she would love going out on adventures hiking etc either her people. She is a dog of about 24 kgs. Marine is a very clever girl, and wants to please. She is an easy girl to have around, she's house and crate trained, likes the car and is happy to travel. She enjoys being out and about, and is straightforward to take to public places Marine is currently in foster in Letchworth, Herts and is ready to find her new people. We have just this week had another blood test done which continues to show excellent recovery (expected to fully resolve) and as such, we are happy for her to go on foster to adopt while we continue to ensure that this happens. She's a beautiful girl and deserves to find her place If you are interested in her please fill out this form and please note that we are unable to return all enquiries but will prioritise all those who have applied previously and match her requirements

About Marine

What life with Marine looks like

Marine is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Luna Animal Rescue in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Luna Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Luna Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Luna Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
