Adopt Martha | EFfL e.V

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 4 months

♀, born ca. 8/2022 - musted - calm - social in Casas Ibanez/Spain Fremdvermittlung Martha is a cat born around 8/2022. Martha came to our cat shelter as a young mother with her kittens in early 2024. She is a calm and friendly cat who enjoys lying in the sun. Martha is very cuddly and looks forward to every pat from her humans. She lives in our large cat group and shows great compatibility with the other cats, so she is not rehomed in single housing. If you still don't have a little house cat enriching your life, we will gladly advise you on the selection of a suitable partner at your request. A home with a cat-safe balcony or even a secure, sunny garden or terrace would be ideal to give her a happy life with plenty of fresh air and sunlight. Martha is already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV (Cat AIDS) and FeLV (Leukemia). She is located in the animal shelter Casas Ibanez/Spain. If you would like to give Martha a cozy spot in your heart and home, contact us via our form. ©2022 by Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. Created with Wix.

About Martha | EFfL e.V

What life with Martha | EFfL e.V looks like

Martha | EFfL e.V is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Martha | EFfL e.V, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Martha | EFfL e.V?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Martha | EFfL e.V on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Martha | EFfL e.V if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Martha | EFfL e.V already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Martha | EFfL e.V isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Martha | EFfL e.V and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
