Victor and Martin come from a remote farmhouse in the Aizkraukle area. The house is far away from civilization and the two tomcats live with more than 20 minks at an old couple's home. Of course, none of the cats have been spayed or neutered, and they also have food to eat occasionally. Four female kittens were also taken in from this place. The elderly are helped with cat sterilization, finding new homes for the mink, and feeding the kittens, which is done by the "Animal SOS" association. Victor and Martin came to the shelter with a parasite infestation and dehydration. They have been castrated (Martin was cryptorchid, so the kitten had to wear a post-operative vest for a few days).

Viktors un Mārtiņš nāk no kādas nomaļas lauku mājas Aizkraukles pusē. Mājiņa atrodas tālu prom no civilizācijas un runči kopā ar vēl vairāk kā 20 minkām mitinās pie veciem sirmjgalvjiem. Protams, neviens kaķis nav sterilizēts un arī vēderiņos ir ko likt pa retam. No šīs vietas patversmē tika uzņemtas arī 4 kaķmeitiņas. Sirmjgalvjiem tiek palīdzēts gan ar kaķu sterilizāciju, gan jaunu māju meklējumiem minkām, gan barības piegādi kaķukiem, par ko rūpi uzņēmusies biedrība “Dzīvnieku SOS”. Mārtiņš un Viktors patversmē tika uzņemti ar parazītu invāziju, dehidratēti. Ir veikta kastrācija.(Mārtiņš bija kriptorhs, tāpēc kaķītim kādas dienas ir jānēsā pēcoperācijas vestīte). Runcis ir arī vakcinēts, apzīmēts ar mikročipu un saņēmis pretparazitāro apstrādi.
