Observing her hop through the kennel with her twisted front paw, due to her sheer joy at our visit, deeply moved us. The hard shelter life is bad enough, but with a handicap, it's even worse. Mary-Ann happily accepted our treats and was always in our vicinity. Cuddles are still new to her, and she retreats but comes back to us in the next second. In another environment with understanding people, Mary-Ann would surely become even more trusting. We hope that this nice female dog will soon have an opportunity to leave where she can only experience love and security.————-Update April 2025: Mary-Ann deeply moved us. For two years, she has been struggling with her broken front paw through the harsh shelter life, but she greeted us with full openness, full enthusiasm, and was very happy to see us. She was immediately by our side and happily accepted our treats. We could gently touch her snout, but she lacked the courage for more. Mary-Ann was always in our vicinity and enjoyed every bit of attention. She deserved the chance to have an opportunity for an exit. Sie dabei zu beobachten, wie sie vor lauter Freude über unseren Besuch, mit ihrer verdrehten Vorderpfote, durch den Kennel hüpft, hat uns sehr berührt. Das harte Shelterleben ist schon schlimm genug, aber mit einem Handicap ist es nochmals schlimmer. MARY-ANN nahm gerne unsere Leckerchen und war immer in unserer Nähe. Streicheleinheiten kennt sie noch nicht und weicht zurück, um in der nächsten Sekunde wieder zu uns zu kommen. In einer anderen Umgebung bei verständnisvollen Menschen würde MARY-ANN sicher noch zutraulicher werden. Wir hoffen sehr, dass diese nette Hündin schnell eine Ausreisemöglichkeit bekommt, wo sie nur noch Liebe und Geborgenheit erfahren darf.————-Update April 2025:MARY-ANN hat uns sehr berührt.
