Please help Maureen by sharing this page! Maureen is an 11-year-old Collie Cross in the care of Animal Adoption International . She's in a multi-dog foster home in Essex, waiting for the perfect retirement home. Maureen loves the company of most other dogs. She'd like at least one, preferably male doggy sibling at home. She likes playing with other dogs but has been known to get a bit bossy with other female dogs sometimes. She knows her own mind, does Maureen! Maureen likes a fuss from people she trusts but it has to be on her terms, when she’s in the mood. She is and will always be shy of strangers. She can be very nervous at times and when things get too much for her, she takes herself to her bed or crate where she knows she’ll be left in peace to compose herself. Maureen is clean and well-behaved in the home. She can be left for a few hours with her dog friends for company. She does need a peaceful home without children or cats and with a garden to snuffle in. Maureen walks nicely on the lead and, as she's good with other dogs, she's a pleasure to take out for quiet walks. She's not a fan of busy traffic though and occasionally she comes over all anxious and decides she'd rather just potter about the garden than face the big wide world that day. When relaxed, she's a playful and affectionate dog. She does need owners who allow her to get used to things in her own time and then her inner puppy will come out to play! If you have a space on your sofa for Maureen, please contact Animal Adoption International as follows: Email: Please say you saw Maureen on the Oldies Club website.
