Max (boxer)

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 6 months

🤎🐾 MEET MAX – OUR GOOFY, GORGEOUS BOXER BOY! 🐾🤎 If you’ve ever loved a Boxer, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about when we say Max is everything a Boxer should be! 😂❤️ Meet Max, our one-year-old Boxer, who’s full of fun, a little bit dopey at times, completely goofy, and blessed with a personality that you simply couldn’t help but fall in love with. He’s affectionate, cuddly, playful and an absolute character. Max has that wonderful Boxer ability to make you laugh without even trying. He’s just a big bundle of love wrapped up in a bouncy, wiggly body! 🥰 At just one year old, Max is still very much a puppy. He’s looking for adventures, playtime, games in the garden and a family who will enjoy all the fun that comes with having a young Boxer in their lives. But don’t be fooled into thinking he’s on the go 24/7! Once he’s had a good play around the garden and burned off some of that youthful energy, you’ll often find him happily flopped out, ready for cuddles and a well-earned rest. 😂💤 👨‍👩‍👧 Children: Max has lived with children aged eight and over. He loves children, but he’s a big, bouncy, enthusiastic boy, so he needs children who understand dogs and are confident around a dog’s size and strength. 🐾 The home he’s looking for: We would love to find Max a home with someone who has Boxer experience and understands their wonderfully silly personalities, their enthusiasm for life and their need for ongoing training, exercise and companionship. Max has an awful lot to give. He’s at that wonderful age where he’s ready to learn, grow and become the most amazing companion. With the right family behind him, this boy has the potential to be something very special. He deserves a family who will embrace his daftness, laugh at his antics, include him in their adventures and love him wholeheartedly. ❤️ Max deserves the world. 🌍🤎 Could you be the person who gives this beautiful boy the life he’s waiting for? 📩 Follow the link to apply to adopt Max. Let’s find our goofy boy his forever home! 🐾🏡💕

About Max (boxer)

What life with Max (boxer) looks like

Max (boxer) is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Almost Home Animal Rescue NI in Belfast.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Max (boxer), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Max (boxer)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Almost Home Animal Rescue NI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Max (boxer) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Max (boxer) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Almost Home Animal Rescue NI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Max (boxer) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Max (boxer) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Almost Home Animal Rescue NI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Max (boxer) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
