Max II

Unknown · Adult · 8 years

Maxík is a chocolate-colored dog, very nice, sure to be liked by people, but we are still struggling with his fear, he doesn't know much, so he is wide-eyed and reacts to stress by snapping around him. But we are already observing a positive change, he is starting to react happily to us, we believe it will go well, but it is almost certain that he will not be suitable for a family with children. Rather, he needs a calmer household and a person with a patient approach, he will be grateful. He is 6 years old. Max needs a person to get to know well, then the understanding with him is much better, it will be a bit more difficult to find him a home, just because of this distrust...

CS·Show original

Spíše potřebuje klidnější domácnost a člověka s trpělivým přistupem, bude vděčný. Má 6let. Max potřebuje člověka dobře poznat, pak je s ním domluva o mnoho lepší, bude trošku složitější mu najít domov, právě kvůli té nedůvěře….

About Max II

What life with Max II looks like

Max II is a small adult dog waiting at Útulek Zlín-Vršava in Zlín-Zlín 12.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Max II, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Max II?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Zlín-Vršava handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Max II on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Max II if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Zlín-Vršava will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Max II already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Max II isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Zlín-Vršava early rather than rehoming privately; they know Max II and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
