Max3

Mixed Breed · Male

Description Our Spanish animal welfare workers report: Our handsome, medium-sized male dog Max3 is very smart and trainable. Max3 shows no problems getting along with his fellow animals here. With people, the often thoughtful gentleman has recently become increasingly cheerful and even clingy, which is not always the case, as he had a difficult past. Today, Max3 is a trusting dog, but he unfortunately had negative experiences with humans before coming to our partner-animal shelter. He suffered emotionally; however, after our animal welfare workers worked intensively with Max3, the intelligent male dog with the attentive gaze was finally able to leave behind his sad past and, in line with his nature, build new confidence. Through the patient and understanding support of our local, volunteer helpers, the once quiet, formerly sad mixed-breed male dog has developed well and slowly rebuilt trust and confidence. After this period of stabilization, Max3 is a wonderfully balanced calm presence – and wishes to start anew with his new family, finally enjoying the beautiful sides of life, which would be his wish. Max3 had a herniated disc in 2022. After his operation, he is now fully recovered and does not require any medication. However, it should be noted that he should not be encouraged to jump, should not undertake long or strenuous walks, and certain physically demanding dog sports activities are also out. Max3 is ready for a new chapter in his life and is full of unshakable enthusiasm for a second chance. Nevertheless, he is grounded; his balanced character and positive energy will surely also rub off on his new heart people, whom he eagerly awaits. Max3 wants to pack up his belongings quickly and head off on the journey to a happy, new life and a loving home. Update 4.1.2024 New Video Please note:.

About Max3

What life with Max3 looks like

Max3 is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Max3, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Max3?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Max3 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Max3 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Max3 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Max3 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Max3 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
