Hoi, ik ben Maxi! Je kent me vast nog wel. Ik was dat boffertje uit Roemenië dat een forever home had gevonden. En weet je? Ik voelde me daar binnen de kortste keren helemaal thuis. Mijn baasjes waren lief, hadden geduld en gaven me alle tijd om rustig aan alles te wennen. Kortom, ik voelde me als een vis in het water. Of nog beter: als een hond in een fijne tuin! Maar… toen kwam het konijn uit de hoge hoed! Of eigenlijk: de konijnen zitten in een ren in de tuin en mijn baasjes zijn dol op ze. Met andere honden kan ik prima overweg en ook katten zijn geen probleem. Maar konijnen? Tja… die brengen al mijn oerinstincten naar boven. En ja, daar ging het dus mis. En die konijnen waren er nu eenmaal eerder dan ik. En zo ben ik van een boffertje veranderd in een verdrietig hondje dat op zoek moet naar een nieuw forever home. Ook mijn baasjes zijn verdrietig, want ze vinden me echt een kanjer! In korte tijd heb ik namelijk al ontzettend veel geleerd. Zo kan ik keurig aan de riem lopen en doe ik mijn behoefte netjes buiten. Best knap van mij, toch? Wil jij misschien mijn nieuwe baasje worden? Iemand die het geduld heeft om mij in mijn eigen tempo verder te laten groeien en vertrouwen te krijgen in de wereld om me heen?
