ALBA, as a member of FAPAM (Federación de Asociaciones de Rescate de Animales de Madrid), manages the CIAAM (Centro Integral de Atención de Animales de Madrid) alongside other rescue associations. Given the large number of animals in their facilities, to avoid overcrowding and to increase their chances of being adopted, we have decided to include information about some of the animals living in their shelter on our page. MAYBELLINE is one of them. Maybelline arrived very thin and, although we are giving her a more calorie-rich food, she is having difficulty gaining weight due to the stress she is experiencing here. She gets very nervous around other dogs, which makes it hard for her in the shelter. She needs a family that can channel her energy and help with her socialization issues. When we take her out for walks and pass through the center's door, she seems like a different puppy; she relaxes, starts sniffing around, and looks for our contact; she is very affectionate, loves being pampered, and enjoys having her belly scratched. Once she relaxes, she doesn't want to be apart from us: she is a sweetheart. Like all of her breed, she has a high energy level and requires a lot of physical exercise as well as games to exercise her mind. They are very intelligent dogs that learn quickly, so they need owners who are willing to offer them stimulation. They are not dogs for just anyone; one has to look past the trends and find the right match for the lifestyle one leads. They also do not socialize easily with other dogs due to their high energy level. But really, everything can be worked with them. They do not pass the test with cats. She has already been spayed, and her Leishmania and Ehrlichia tests are negative.

ALBA como miembro de la FAPAM (Federación de Asociaciones Protectoras de Animales de Madrid gestiona junto a otras protectoras el CIAAM (Centro Integral de Acogida de Animales de Madrid). Ante el gran número de animales que se encuentran en sus instalaciones, con el fin de evitar el hacinamiento y la saturación de su centro y para aumentar sus posibilidades de ser adoptados, hemos decidido incluir en nuestra página información de algunos de los animales que viven en su albergue. MAYBELLINE es uno de ellos Maybelline llegó muy delgada y, aunque le estamos dando un pienso más calórico, le está costando coger peso debido al estrés que tiene aquí. Se pone muy nerviosa con otros perros lo que provoca que lo esté pasando mal en el albergue, necesita una familia que sepa canalizar la energía que tiene y la ayude en sus problemas de socialización. Cuando salimos a pasear con ella y atravesamos la puerta del centro parece otra perrita, se relaja, empieza a olisquear y va buscando nuestro contacto; es muy cariñosa, le encantan los mimos y que le rasquen la barriga. En cuanto se relaja no se separa de nosotros: es un amor de perra. Como todos los de su raza tiene un nivel de energía alto, demanda mucho ejercicio físico además de juegos para ejercitar su mente. Son perros muy inteligentes que aprenden rápido por lo que necesitan unos dueños dispuestos a ofrecerles estímulos. No son perros aptos para cualquier persona, hay que pasar de las modas y encontrar el compañero adecuado al ritmo de vida que llevemos. Es una raza que tampoco socializa facilmente con otros perros por su alta energía. Pero realmente todo se puede trabajar con ellos. No pasa la prueba con los gatos.
