Update 26.05.2025: Melvin is the last of Harper’s puppies still waiting at the shelter and just like his mom, he’s hoping to find his forever home. Why he hasn’t been adopted yet is something we’ll never understand. Melvin may be small in size – just 11 kg and 30 cm tall – but he has a personality that fills the room! He’s about 1 year and 8 months old (born in September 2023) and has been with us since he was just a tiny pup. If you’ve ever visited the shelter, you have definitely met our Melvin! He’s always nearby, looking for cuddles and kisses. Little Melvin is a funny fella, either in the middle of the action or just happy to nap in the sun or preferably in your lap. His favorite time of day? When volunteers or visitors shower him with love and affection – something he can’t get enough of. Melvin is very social with other dogs and enjoys playing and running with them in the yard and on the playground. If you’re looking for a small but lively companion who’s affectionate, loyal and always eager to please, Melvin could be your perfect match. Give Melvin a chance today – so he can have the home he deserves tomorrow. Update 29.08.2024: Little Melvin – Some things just don’t make sense—like the fact that LITTLE MELVIN is still waiting for his forever home Melvin is a chatterbox and a prankster, full of mischief and charm, always right in the middle of the action. Weighing just 11 kg, Melvin's the ideal companion for anyone seeking a small but active dog. Melvin gets along well with other dogs, regardless of age or gender. Whether it’s playing on the shelter playground, chilling in the pools, or jumping into our volunteers' and visitors' laps whenever he gets the chance, Melvin makes the most of every opportunity. Given that Melvin is part Jack Russell, he does have a bit of the breed’s natural hunting instinct, so a household without cats would be recommended. One thing’s for sure—Melvin is no couch potato.
