Micheline

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Micheline is a young female mixed breed dog from Romania. She is approximately medium-sized, black and brown in color, and was born around February 2026. She is currently located in Geiselwind, Germany. Micheline has been well received at the shelter. She appears to be curious and interested, but also somewhat reserved. It is clear that she is not yet accustomed to human interaction. She readily accepts treats and even allows herself to be picked up and remains close to us throughout our visit. We are confident that Micheline will quickly warm up and settle in well in a calm and understanding environment. We very much hope that she will be able to leave the shelter soon. A young dog should not have to spend its life in a shelter. Micheline lives in a mixed pack and seems to get along with them. Contact: Our dogs are vaccinated (rabies and 2x basic immunization) and microchipped with an EU pet passport. They are tested for the common Mediterranean diseases: babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, leishmaniasis, rickettsia, filaria, hepatozoonosis, anaplasmosis at our expense (we cover the laboratory fees). Important documents: Self-report for adopters Self-report for foster homes * The information on the dogs (especially those still in Romania) is provided without warranty. The recordings only represent snapshots. The dogs were recorded by voluntary volunteers to the best of their knowledge and belief. Therefore, there may be deviations in age, size, sex, health and also behavior. We are an active alliance partner! Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V.

About Micheline

What life with Micheline looks like

Micheline is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. in Oberwies.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Micheline, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Micheline?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Micheline on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Micheline if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Micheline already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Micheline isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Micheline and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
