Mika &#8211

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Mika now lives in 55595 Traisen. All the best, Mika. Heartfelt thanks, Frau K.-L.. Mika is a small Yorkshire Terrier-Mix female dog, and at nine years old (as of January 2026), she is still full of life. Her previous life was stable and filled with love – she had a beautiful home and was always well-cared for. Unfortunately, fate struck: her beloved owner passed away, and Mika is now searching for a new home where she can once again experience security and affection. Despite her age, Mika is remarkably fit and agile. She enjoys walks in the neighborhood just as much as cuddles on the sofa. Mika is the ideal companion for people who enjoy leisurely outings in the fresh air and want a simple, loving companion. Whether a little evening stroll or relaxed time in the green: every moment with Mika feels light and precious. Mika has a lot of experience living with other dogs. She has always lived in a pack and shows friendliness and composure when interacting with fellow animals. A harmonious integration into existing dog communities is easy for her. She would also be happy in a new home with company, but she is equally content as a solo princess – as long as she gets love and affection. Whether Mika gets along with cats, we cannot say, but our friends at El Buen Amigo are capable of testing what the world-wise lady has to say to housecats – that should certainly not be an exclusion criterion. Mika is healthy and still has very good teeth for her age. Especially notable is Mika’s open and friendly nature. She loves being close to people, gently seeks contact, and enjoys every shared moment. If you are looking for a four-legged sunbeam who craves closeness and likes to cuddle, you will find the perfect partner in Mika. Cozy couch potatoes, quiet hours in the favorite chair, and small adventures in everyday life – Mika enriches life in a quiet but very heartfelt way. Mika is searching for a loving home where she can be cared for in her last years and be happy. She is suitable for dog lovers who value a relaxed together and mutual affection. If you would like to meet Mika, we look forward to your message – perhaps your shared story begins here, full of warmth and new memories. Give Mika a new chapter full of love!

Mika lebt jetzt in 55595 Traisen. Alles Gute, Mika. Herzlichen Dank, Frau K.-L..

About Mika &#8211

What life with Mika &#8211 looks like

Mika &#8211 is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mika &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mika &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mika &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mika &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mika &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mika &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mika &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
