His story: Mikkel has been in his foster home since late November. Mikkel is an absolute rough diamond. Under the scruffy fur he brought from the dirty shelter, a wonderful male dog in his prime years is hidden. Originally, Mikkel came from the Baia Mare shelter. Mikkel is approximately 7 years old and about 55 – 60 cm tall. A imposing male dog who impresses with his appearance. Mikkel is a herding dog and shows typical herding behavior. Towards strangers, especially men, he is suspicious and keeps his distance. He is not a couch dog but enjoys his time outside, closed rooms do not suit him. Even in unfamiliar situations, he still reacts uncertainly. His leash manners still need to be worked on. Herding dogs are not suited for city living; they need an area they can guard and people to bond with to be truly content and happy. On walks, they show independence and sometimes a love for freedom. Building a deep trust relationship is important, which must be earned with these independent dogs. Especially with dogs that have changed owners or come from an animal shelter, this can be a challenging but rewarding path. The journey with a herding dog is very special and intimate. You will be rewarded with absolute loyalty and devotion. For Mikkel, we are looking for empathetic, loving people who are willing to open up to this big boy and give him the space he needs. A piece of land/garden in the countryside is a must, and he needs his place where he can retreat. Mikkel is definitely not an easy-to-care-for puppy. Seine Geschichte: Mikkel ist seit Ende November in seiner Pflegestelle. Mikkel ist ein absoluter Rohdiamant. Unter dem Zottelfell, das er aus dem schmutzigen Shelter mitgebracht hat, verbirgt sich ein wunderbarer schöner Rüde in den besten Jahren. Ursprünglich kommt Mikkel aus dem Shelter Baia Mare. Mikkel ist ca. 7 Jahre alt und ungefähr 55 – 60 cm groß. Ein imposanter Rüde, der durch sein Äußeres besticht. Mikkel ist ein Herdenschutzhund und zeigt das typische Verhalten durchaus. Fremden Menschen gegenüber, besonders Männern, ist er misstrauisch und geht auf Abstand. Er ist kein Hund fürs Sofa, sondern genießt seine Zeit am liebsten draußen, geschlossene Räume liegen ihm nicht. Auch in ihm unbekannten Situationen reagiert er noch unsicher. An der Leinenführigkeit muss noch gearbeitet werden. Herdenschutzhunde sind keine Hunde für eine Stadtwohnung, sie brauchen ein Gelände, welches sie bewachen können und Menschen an die sie sich binden können, um ihrem Wesen nach ausgelastet und glücklich zu sein. Auf Spaziergängen zeigen sie sich selbstständig und mitunter freiheitsliebend. Wichtig ist der Aufbau eines tiefen Vertrauensverhältnisses, das man sich bei diesen unabhängigen Hunden erst verdienen muss. Besonders bei Hunden, die ihren Besitzer gewechselt haben oder aus dem Tierheim kommen, kann das auch mal ein schwieriger Weg werden, der sich aber immer lohnt. Der gemeinsame Weg mit einem Herdenschutzhund ist ein sehr besonderer und inniger. Belohnt wird man mit absoluter Loyalität und Treue. Für Mikkel suchen wir empathische liebevolle Menschen, die bereit sind, sich auf diesen großen Buben einzulassen und ihm den Raum geben, den er benötigt. Ein Grundstück/Garten in ländlicher Umgebung sind Muss und er braucht seinen Ort, wo er sich zurückziehen kann. Ein Anfängerhund ist Mikkel definitiv nicht. Mikkel ist kastriert, gechipt, und geimpft sowie entwurmt und entfloht. Er wird nach positiver Vorkontrolle gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro vermittelt.
