Adopt Milli

Mixed Breed · Female

Missy / Looking for a home from the Oulu area Milli is approximately 07/25 born small and spicy female cat. Milli is looking for a quiet adult home, where there should be a cat friend waiting. Alternatively, Mill can be adopted together with Irmeli and Karin to the same home. Milli has become very brave while in foster care, but still hesitates with strangers. When chasing treats, Milli will even come out from under the couch. It is common for Milli to come in and join when other cats are being petted. However, Milli does not like to be held, although sometimes tolerates being lifted. During meal times, the spicy female cat may attack other cats, but the actual feeding proceeds smoothly. Sometimes Milli may also taste human toes and fingers. A ball toy has proven to be popular with Mill, but Milli easily steps aside from the game if others are more aggressively chasing it. Ball toys are also liked by the kitten. Would your home be suitable for Missy? If the answer is yes, send us a message and tell us what kind of home you could offer her! ***** All our cats are adopted only as indoor cats (only safe outdoor access allowed in enclosures, backyard or on a safe balcony). Cats are adopted spayed, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped (the microchip registered in the Turvasiru.fi service) and tested for FIV and FELV. Also note that you must visit our association's animals in person before proceeding with the adoption process.

Olisiko juuri sinulla Milli-neidille sopiva koti? Mikäli vastast kyllä, laita meille viestiä ja kerro millaisen kodin voisit hänelle tarjota! ***** Kaikki kissamme adoptoidaan ainoastaan sisäkissoiksi (vain turvallinen ulkoilu sallittu valjaissa, ulkotarhassa tai turvallisella parvekkeella). Kissat adoptoidaan leikattuina, madotettuina, rokotettuina, sirutettuina (siru rekisteröity turvasiru.fi -palveluun) sekä Fiv- ja FELV-testattuina. Huomioithan myös, että yhdistyksemme eläimiin tulee käydä aina tutustumassa paikan päällä ennen mahdollisen adoptioprosessin etenemistä.

About Milli

What life with Milli looks like

Milli is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Popopet in Oulu.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇮Adopting from Finland

Finnish shelters require a home visit and an adoption contract. Animals are vetted; the EU pet passport covers cross-border travel within the bloc.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Popopet handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Popopet will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Popopet early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FI). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
