Adopt Millie 2 | EFfL e.V

Mixed Breed · Unknown

♀ born ca. 04/2025lieb - shy Millie is a ca. 04/2025 born female cat. She has been in a foster home in Berlin since mid-April with her friend Estrella. Currently, the two still need some time. Millie is about one year old and was born at the animal shelter Casas Ibanez. Her mother Melody arrived pregnant at the animal shelter and gave birth to Millie and her siblings there. Since then, Millie has only known life in the animal shelter. Currently, she lives in a small room of about six square meters, sharing it with other cats. Her already placed brother Mino was still overwhelmed by the space in his new home in the first few days. We expect that Millie also needs some time to adjust at the beginning and must learn to run, climb, and jump properly. Until recently, Millie was part of a small, familiar family. She spent her days there with her mother Melody and her brother Mino. In March, the two were allowed to travel to their new home together, and since then, a lot has changed for Millie. She missed her family very much and had to get used to the new situation. In mid-April, Millie was allowed to travel to her foster home in Berlin with her new friend Estrella. There, she is cautiously exploring her spacious new environment for the first time outside the cramped space of the shelter. Therefore, she is still unsure and very oriented towards Estrella. But she is also gradually gaining more trust in her foster mom, but still needs time. We would therefore like to wait a little for the first meeting. If, however, they are already in love with the sweet kitten and their friend Estrella, we are of course delighted with their message. Millie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. The adoption fee is 250 €. She is not placed in single housing. ©2022 by Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. About Millie 2 | EFfL e.V

What life with Millie 2 | EFfL e.V looks like

Millie 2 | EFfL e.V is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

Adopting Millie 2 | EFfL e.V, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Millie 2 | EFfL e.V?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Millie 2 | EFfL e.V on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Millie 2 | EFfL e.V if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Millie 2 | EFfL e.V already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Millie 2 | EFfL e.V isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Millie 2 | EFfL e.V and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
