Adopt Milly

Labrador Retriever · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Gender: Female Maya has been waiting so long for her people. She loves cuddles. Milly came to the intake station already as a puppy with her siblings. Part of the siblings were quickly rehomed. Left behind were Milly, Maya, and Mia. Here they show themselves to be quiet and, initially, a bit reserved, as they are often overlooked. But after a short get-to-know-you period, they enjoy every bit of attention and petting. Their morning swim in the sea is their greatest joy, and they also love movement. All of them get along very well with other dogs. We think that all three would make great family dogs. Unfortunately, the time in the intake station is taking its toll on them. They withdraw and eat too much out of boredom. Milly is a loving soul and should move as quickly as possible into a quiet family. If Milly touches your heart, please fill out our placement form. You can also take Milly in as a foster home. More dogs are searching for a home... Mia San wants to finally have a quiet dog bed of her own. Oscar is not only friendly with people but also with other dogs. Maya wants to finally have her own home.

Ein Teil der Geschwister wurde schnell vermittelt. Zurück blieben Milly, Maya und Mia. Hier zeigen sie sich ruhig und mittlerweile anfangs wieder etwas zurückhaltend, da sie von allen übersehen werden. Aber nach kurzem Kennenlernen genießen sie jede Aufmerksamkeit und Streicheleinheit. Das morgendliche Bad im Meer ist ihr größtes Vergnügen und Bewegung mögen sie auch. Mit anderen Hunden sind alle sehr gut verträglich. Wir denken, dass alle drei gute Familienhunde wären. Leider macht ihnen die Zeit in der Auffangstation immer mehr zu schaffen. Sie ziehen sich zurück und fressen aus Langeweile zu viel. Milly ist eine liebe Seele und sollte so schnell wie möglich in eine ruhige Familie umziehen. Wenn Milly ihr Herz berührt hat, dann füllen Sie doch bitte unser Vermittlungsformular aus. Sie können Milly auch erst als Pflegestelle bei sich aufnehmen. Noch mehr Hunde suchen ein Zuhause... Oscar ist nicht nur Menschen, sondern auch anderen Hunden gegenüber freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Mia San möchte endlich ein ruhiges Körbchen für sich. Maya möchte endlich ihr eigenes Zuhause haben. jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $('-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c').owlCarousel({ itemClass: "tailwag-carousel-item", onTranslated: tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c, // breakpoint from 0 up // breakpoint from 768 up // breakpoint from 1025 up function tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c(){ $("-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c").addClass("tailwag-carousel-left-arrow-on"); }

About Milly

What life with Milly looks like

Milly is a medium-sized puppy/kitten labrador retriever dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. in Bad Vilbel.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
