RESERVIERT

Dachshund · Male · Puppy · 9 months

Hello world! My name is Milo. I came to the animal shelter as part of an official inspection and can finally start looking for my forever home! I am a very sweet and cuddly young dachshund. I am rather unsure around strangers, especially men, and need some time until the ice is broken. As soon as I get to know someone, I show myself very affectionate and can't get enough attention. On a leash I walk very well, in training I show myself very motivated and am also relatively house-trained - sometimes an accident happens. With small to medium-sized dogs I get along well, but at first I have a lot of fear of large dogs. Healthwise I am mostly unremarkable, but I bring the breed-typical problems with my joints.I'm looking for a home in a quiet residential area with loving people who also already have some dog experience. It would be nice if you already had a dog at home, children should be teenagers by now. I am still young and have to learn a lot, but together we can definitely do it?Do you want to meet me?Your Milo

Hallo Welt! Dein Milo

About RESERVIERT

What life with RESERVIERT looks like

RESERVIERT is a medium-sized puppy/kitten dachshund dog waiting at Tierschutzverein St. Pölten in St. Pölten.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting RESERVIERT, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about RESERVIERT?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein St. Pölten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw RESERVIERT on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt RESERVIERT if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein St. Pölten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is RESERVIERT already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if RESERVIERT isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein St. Pölten early rather than rehoming privately; they know RESERVIERT and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
