Milo

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Hallo animal lovers! I am little Milo the cat and I'm looking for a new home. A kind veterinarian found me here in Romania near her practice. I was dehydrated which is extremely dangerous for kittens. She took me in and cared for me. Now I live with a lovely foster family and play with other kittens - that's a lot of fun. I also love to cuddle, you can see this on the photos I think. I don't want to be kept alone so if you don't already have a cat companion of the same age please ask my caretaker who knows my friends here. When I am big enough I will be spayed/neutered before departure. I have had my first vaccinations (panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis and rabies) and I am microchipped. Additionally I have received spot on treatment and deworming medication. Before departure I will be tested for FIV and FeLV via a rapid test. You can read all this in my EU pet passport. Since I was found as such a small kitten I don't know any dangers on the street. Therefore I will only be placed in safe indoor housing and not outdoors. A secured balcony or garden would be nice if you have one.

Aktueller Aufenthaltsort: Barlad, Rumänien Alter: geb. ca. März/April 2026 Geschlecht: männlich Charakter: sozial, verkuschelt und verspielt Besonderheit: keins Keine Einzelhaltung! Hallo liebe Tierfreunde!

About Milo

What life with Milo looks like

Milo is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Seelenkatzen e.V. in Barsinghausen.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelenkatzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelenkatzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelenkatzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
