Milo

Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs ongoing support Can I be left alone? Potentially, once settled As Milo came to us as a stray, we have no information on how he behaves when left, however he does get sad when we leave him in his kennel, as he does love to have human company. He will need his home alone time building up gradually and may be able to be left for a few hours once fully settled into his new home. Do I have any medical conditions? None This pet has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? No Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information Milo would like to be the only pet in home where he can have all the attention ( and footballs!) to himself and new owners can work on his socialising and training around other dogs. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Milo would be better suited to live with older confident children, over 11 years, due to his excitable nature, jumping and strength. He has shown some low level toy and food guarding also so children will need to understand how to manage this and leave him alone when he has a high value treat. What type of environment would suit me? Milo needs a secure private garden in his new home, where he can run around and have fun times. About Milo Meet Marvellous Milo! He is a bundle of energy tucked up in a body that looks about 3 times too small. He is a very uniquely designed guy and loves nothing more than sniffy walks and playing with a football! Milo is looking for a home with people who are willing to continue with his training and who will love and embrace his goofy energetic nature!

About Milo

What life with Milo looks like

Milo is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Woodgreen Pets Charity in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Woodgreen Pets Charity handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Woodgreen Pets Charity will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Woodgreen Pets Charity early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
