Adopt Milo

Male · Adult · 8 years

Milo – Norfolk 8 years 2 months Male, Standard Dachshund Chocolate and Tan Smooth Coat Neutered Adoption fee £250. Milo is the definition of a fighter. After a whirlwind few months battling IVDD and undergoing spinal surgery, this sweet boy is officially on the road to recovery. He is already hitting huge milestones, from regaining control of his bladder to finding his feet and trying to stand on his own. He is looking for a dedicated teammate who will cheer him on through his daily physio programme and help him reach his full potential, whatever that may look like. For Milo, the world can be a little overwhelming at times. He can be a bit of a watchdog who likes to alert you to outside noises, so a quiet sanctuary away from a busy road is a must for his peace of mind and your ears. Because he thrives in a predictable environment, Milo requires an adult-only home where he can focus on his rehabilitation in a calm atmosphere. When it comes to four-legged friends, Milo currently lives with other dogs and could potentially live with another calm dog, pending a successful meeting. It is important to note that he has shown some resource guarding behaviour towards other dogs in the past, so this will need to be managed carefully by his new adopters. His future family should be prepared to oversee his interactions and manage his environment, especially around food or toys, to ensure he feels secure and relaxed. Milo has been through so much and has handled it all with a wagging tail and a loving heart. He just needs one person to see his potential and commit to his journey. If you have a quiet home and a lot of love to give, Milo might just be the missing piece to your puzzle. Requirements in a home: Able to commit to any on-going rehabilitation Milo needs Could live with another calm, well-mannered dog pending a successful meeting. Cannot live with children. Can live with cats If you think you’re the safe space Milo needs, please email
