Milos

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Hey! My name is Milos and I'm about 1 year old, I think... I am a long-haired black and white social cat with a big need for human contact! I am a cuddly cat, but very independent. I might be a bit shy, probably because I don't quite understand what the strange sounds are or where they come from. But every day I become a little more used to being around people. One of the best things I know is to lie on a warm and safe place, and I will be very happy if you come and pet me. I love to sleep, and I like to sleep all day if I have the time. If a person is also sleeping, I love to sleep lying as close as possible! Most of all I want to lie on your chest and rub my head against your face, and if you scratch me under my chin I will be really happy! I am also quite happy to play and I get very excited if you have time to play with me! In my new home I would like kind people who give me a lot of care and love, but who are also patient with me. I probably still need a bit more time to get used to how life with people is. I hope I can find my new home soon and I look forward to meeting and getting to know you!

«Hei!

About Milos

What life with Milos looks like

Milos is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter in Trollåsen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NB). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
