Milow S

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

ProfileAge: born in 2024. Gender: male. neutered: yesCharacter: friendly, reservedSize: approx. 48 cmSince in shelter: December 2024Family: siblings Rune J, Jeremie, Stiles, Merkur, Phaen & SavannahHello, I am Milow.I was caught with my siblings on the street and brought here to the shelter. It was quite daunting for all of us initially. Being confined and no longer leading an independent life on the street threw us for a loop. I haven't had many experiences with you humans yet, so I need to learn that your approach can be good for me. I don't fully understand what you want from me, but I am getting braver and more outgoing every day.I have the big goal of being seen by you to find MY people. When I am with you, your world is completely foreign and even more unsettling. You must have a lot of patience and understanding for me and allow me to explore my new world at my own pace. But I am not a lost cause! Don't I deserve a chance? If we grow into a team together, then all the effort was worth it…Who wants to walk this path with me? Interested? If you are interested in Milow, please fill out our Prospective Owner Form () or send us an email or message on Facebook. Milow is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU Pass. Additionally, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted for dogs over 12 months old before travel arrangements: Borreliosis, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariosis, and leishmaniasis. Cindy S. has taken on the sponsorship for Milow, ensuring a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

SteckbriefAlter: 2024 geboren.

About Milow S

What life with Milow S looks like

Milow S is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milow S, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milow S?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milow S on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milow S if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milow S already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milow S isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milow S and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
