Min

Greyhound · Unknown · Puppy

Min is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, she arrived in our care on the 9th of August 2026 and she was born on the 25th of August 2023. This lass is a quiet yet friendly girl who is going to make a perfect addition to her new family. She can be a little reserved when you first meet her, this is not her true character and with a little time she will show you her cheeky character, sometimes this can take a few days to come out fully. Don’t be put off by this as she really is a sweetie! This girl loves to play with you and soft toys, she just loves running around and having fun, what more could you ask for! Min is housetrained and used to everyday noises in and around the home. She shows little fear of washing machine, TV, dishwasher and is even getting used to the hoover. She can be a little unsure about car/motor bike engines starting close by. Min is going on street walks to get used to these sounds and with time this will improve. Our gorgeous girl lives alongside 8 other greyhounds both girls and boys, she gets on well with them all. Min has shown us no negative behaviour around other breeds of dog, she is intrigued about what they are – big and small breeds. She will watch them as they go by and will listen to her handler if she is asked to wait on walks. Min needs to continue her training around other breeds of dog, seeing them from afar and up close. This girl does LOVE her food and is also learning all about treats. Min certainly enjoys all these new tastes! She enjoys her car rides, knowing she is going to have a nice walk somewhere. Min can need a little persuasion to get into the car for her outing but once she knows she is going somewhere nice she is very keen to jump in! Min enjoys going out for her walks, she walks nicely on a lead and will trot along beside you. She will prick her ears up when watching other dogs play, she secretly would like to join in with them. After all the excitement of being out and about, she will settle down next to you

About Min

What life with Min looks like

Min is a large puppy/kitten greyhound dog waiting at Greyhound Lifeline in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Min, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Min?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Greyhound Lifeline handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Min on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Min if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Greyhound Lifeline will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Min already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Min isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Greyhound Lifeline early rather than rehoming privately; they know Min and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
