Mina

Labrador Retriever · Unknown

Mina is a beautiful and gentle Labrador who has everything to make you fall in love! She arrived at the shelter with her friend "Erdo" following a change in their former owner's personal situation. But before you continue reading and fall under the charm of this pretty girl, there is something you absolutely need to know! Mina cannot be adopted without Erdo! They get along wonderfully and are so attached to each other that a separation is simply not possible. So, if you fall for Mina, you will also have to open your heart to Erdo! But the qualities are doubled because they are two lovable dogs, with very good and balanced characters. Mina and Erdo are both very friendly with humans, calm and cuddly. They are pleasant dogs to live with, already well-educated who know the basic commands. Until now, they have mainly lived outdoors in a garden and at night in the garage. They obviously know how to stay quiet without causing trouble. They would certainly not say no to a family life indoors, to see how they get used to it over time. Like many dogs, they can bark when passers-by or animals pass in front of their house. Mina and Erdo are rather sociable with their peers and also seem to behave well with cats. They have also already experienced life with children. They can get a bit excited in their presence, but we think they could become great companions for a family. These two little guys arrived at the shelter with a few extra pounds. A little diet accompanied by regular physical activity would do them a world of good to feel better in their paws! Mina and Erdo are looking for a simple and happy life made of walks, interactions and cuddles with loving humans. On their side, it's twice the love to give! If you have a big enough heart to welcome this inseparable duo and give them a beautiful life, they are just waiting for you!

About Mina

What life with Mina looks like

Mina is a small adult labrador retriever dog waiting at SPA de Bordeaux et du Sud-Ouest (SPA 33) in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA de Bordeaux et du Sud-Ouest (SPA 33) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA de Bordeaux et du Sud-Ouest (SPA 33) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA de Bordeaux et du Sud-Ouest (SPA 33) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
