Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

I am male, microchipped, and vaccinated, born around 2019. I am approximately 70 cm tall. I have been waiting for a new home since September 2021. My caretakers say about me: Azun came to us as a hand-in dog, his size and initial insecurity were too much for the family. At our shelter, Azun adapted quite quickly and soon understood that nothing would happen to him. Of course, one must approach him appropriately, but being on a leash and leading him is no longer a problem. If he becomes unsure, it helps him to simply stand still and inspect the situation. The same applies to moments when he becomes unsure and turns up, he calms down in a moment, as long as we remain calm ourselves. His open and sometimes curious nature helps him to handle such situations. Those who know him will sometimes prod him out of curiosity, and Azun is also playful, but he only is when he feels safe. At our shelter, he is a perfect puppy uncle, all the young dogs have gotten along wonderfully with him. Generally, he shows himself to be compatible with his own kind, a sovereign only dog should have no problem with interest. The fur care, once in order, is not an elaborate undertaking, only regular brushing is necessary. He enjoys this and was already dozing off at the end of the day. Azun must still be lovingly and consistently introduced to all environmental stimuli, but without reinforcing his fear. Perhaps with the help of dog training classes, such a young pup still likes to learn and meets his fellow dogs there. Azun also shows only moderate interest in cats or other animals after getting to know them, with a proper acclimation phase, there is no problem. With some training, he is an absolute character dream… We would be happy to place the gentle giant in a more rural area, preferably in a house with an attached, securely fenced yard. As a herding dog or mix, of course, he is also happy to be vigilant without being a barker. Who wouldn't want to share life with our wonderful Azun?

About Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211

What life with Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211 looks like

Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211 is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Schkortitz in Grimma.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Schkortitz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Schkortitz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Schkortitz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mioritic Mix Azun &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
