Mojito

Male · Puppy · 11 months

(with video) Mojito was rescued off the street in Seville by an animal welfare volunteer and, after consultation with Minerva, came to the PROA animal shelter, where he is looking for a home. Mojito is a cheerful little handful of a dog. He gets along well with his dog group at the shelter. He plays and runs, barks little, and is simply a nice little fellow. He knows how to enjoy human closeness and cuddles and lets himself be picked up readily and without any trouble. Mojito has a somewhat strange-looking gait, which is probably due to his hip. What exactly the cause is will become clear once Mojito has been examined at the veterinary clinic. Mojito will not come to his new people as a finished young dog who has mastered all the basics of dog life. He still needs to learn how to live together and the rules that come with it. With his charm and cheerful nature, he will surely wrap his people around his little paw and bring plenty of fun and joy. Born: 15.12.2025, Size: approx. 29 cm, Weight: approx. 5.3 kg, Character: playful, cheerful, people-oriented, Compatible with other dogs: yes, at the shelter since August 2026 Mojito travels microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, tested for all Mediterranean diseases; a blood panel of organ values will also be done before departure. About Mojito

What life with Mojito looks like

Mojito is a small puppy dog waiting at TS Fellwechsel e.V. in Varel /nur Vereinssitz, kein Tierheim vor Ort.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mojito, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mojito?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TS Fellwechsel e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mojito on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mojito if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TS Fellwechsel e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mojito already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mojito isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TS Fellwechsel e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mojito and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
