Molly

Unknown · Young · 1 year

Update April 2026 Molly is truly a special treasure. I had the chance to visit her personally in April and was immediately touched by her loving nature. At the beginning of the year, after moving from the cage to one of the outdoor enclosures, she was somewhat reserved and had to get used to her new surroundings. However, the visually impaired young cat has now found her place – and how! The orientation she has developed in her new environment gives her noticeable security. Her behavior now differs hardly at all from that of her fellow residents. Molly plays, runs around and climbs just like the other cats and moves surprisingly safely even on the upper levels. She is an absolutely social, curious cat who likes to wait directly at the enclosure door when there is occasional visitors. Then she comes forward joyfully, sniffs curiously and enjoys every bit of attention. After a short getting-to-know-you phase, she was easily lifted onto the arm, cuddled devotedly and showed how much she values human closeness. The beautiful gray tiger cat is not blind – she can perceive her environment with limitations and gets along wonderfully. For her future home, we wish secure outdoor access, such as a covered balcony where she can feel the wind in her fur safely. And most importantly: Molly needs cat companionship of a similar age. Despite her visual impairment, she actively plays with the other cats and is not at all discouraged in her liveliness. Can you recognize Molly's special character in the photos and videos and would you like to give her a loving home? Then feel free to contact me. The little mouse has already packed her bags and is ready to travel. Update January 2026 Our lovely Molly finally moved from the cage to one of the outdoor enclosures.

About Molly

What life with Molly looks like

Molly is a large young adult cat waiting at PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Molly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Molly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Molly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Molly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Molly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Molly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Molly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
