Molly

Mixed Breed · Female

Molly arrived at the animal shelter in October 2025. We know nothing about her past, we can only guess how hard it was for her, how she didn't know human kindness. Molly is a tiny, black spaniel with beautiful, sad eyes. She is probably a young dog. In the first weeks at the animal shelter, she was very withdrawn and frightened. She didn't want to approach even with treats. Over time, she accepted the first pats and then gradually, with the help of other friendly dogs, she was somewhat convinced to trust people. She now spends part of her time in the yard with other "office" dogs, and part of the time in the building, and in this environment she is already quite calm, not afraid of anything, and happily runs with other dogs. She has also begun to slowly go beyond the animal shelter, but for now, in order to go outside, she has to be picked up and only in a calmer place is she able to walk part of the walk on her own. Outside the animal shelter, she still sometimes gets very scared, shivers and doesn't want to go, when something unexpected happens, traffic, or even a distant noise. At that time, she has to be picked up again, then she calms down a bit. She also avoids eye contact with humans, she walks willingly on walks, only when no one is directly looking at her, which indicates that unfortunately she must have experienced a lot of bad things from people in the past. The company of other, more courageous and calm dogs definitely helps her. Molly is still sometimes startled, but she has already made considerable progress and is braver than when she first arrived at the animal shelter. She is still a young female dog, so we believe that there is still a lot ahead of her. Now she just needs time, patience, calmness, and certainly Molly will completely leave her sad, closed inner world and fully trust humans.

Molly trafiła do schroniska w październiku 2025r.

About Molly

What life with Molly looks like

Molly is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Molly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Molly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Molly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Molly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Molly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Molly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Molly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
