Adopt Mona (Vermittlungshilfe)

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Information about "Mona" Name: Mona Breed: Beagle-Mops-Jack Russell mixed breed Gender: female Born: 01.05.2017 (estimated) Color: tricolor Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes Chipped: yes Anlagehund: no Shoulder height: ca. 35 cm Current location: foster home Mona was allowed to travel to a foster home in Germany at the end of January. She is a very cuddly and very nice female dog, gets along well with male and female dogs at the foster home, and is house-trained. She loves to go for walks and even runs more than walks at the moment. She has a bit of a prey drive, but with some training, it can be well controlled. At home, she is a watchful dog. She is not food-aggressive and can already wait well when treats are being distributed. As you can see in the pictures, the colleagues in Hungary have fed her well, and Mona also loves to eat. Now she needs to lose a bit of weight. She is looking for a sporty home with a house and garden. The people should be steadfast, and work still needs to be done on leash walking. A visit to dog training classes should be planned. She likes to lie outside and enjoys the sun. A DNA test has shown that Mona has 50% Beagle, 32% Pug, and 27% Jack Russell Terrier in her. Background: Mona ran into the courtyard of a house. The owners called our colleagues to pick up the dog. So Mona ended up in the city's quarantine. She is very people-loving, she loves lots of cuddles, and she likes it when you engage with her. She gets along well with other animals. We are looking for a loving home with a house and garden. Do you have a dog bed to offer? Then give us a call. Heike Hess or Silke Heiszenberger-Försterling -79385358 Name and thank-you note for sponsors.

Dann rufen Sie an. About Mona (Vermittlungshilfe)

What life with Mona (Vermittlungshilfe) looks like

Mona (Vermittlungshilfe) is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein TS Nie mehr allein e.V. in Mildstedt.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mona (Vermittlungshilfe), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mona (Vermittlungshilfe)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein TS Nie mehr allein e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mona (Vermittlungshilfe) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mona (Vermittlungshilfe) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein TS Nie mehr allein e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mona (Vermittlungshilfe) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mona (Vermittlungshilfe) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein TS Nie mehr allein e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mona (Vermittlungshilfe) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
