Morgan Shephard

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 9 years

Morgan arrived to us as part of a trio of female Shephards, together with Kira & Nina. They come from the countryside, where they, like many other animals who had to be divided between various rescues, had been under the care of a woman who sadly took her own life, and the animals stayed behind. They are of course very bonded and live well together, but they also each have their own characters and are also independent individuals. Morgan is the oldest of the trio and therefore also the calmest and slowest physically. Morgan very quickly builds a connection to the humans and stays by your side. While the trio is enjoying the dog park, running and wrestling over sticks to play with, she loves to play around with her friends for some time, and then comes to you, to either calmly walk together side by side, or simply to lay down next to you, rest, and look around. She has a very balanced, calm, and pleasant presence, but don’t the senior lady is done yet! If you take out the snacks, she wakes up and is ready for tricks and training! She will sit and wait patiently, come to you, stay, and any resonable things you might ask of her in exchange of a delicious snack. Morgan’s shoulder height is around 60cm, she has beautiful fluffy fur, that get’s extra fluffy when she had taken a cooling bath after a walk in the hot weather. She also loves to be groomed, and will very patiently sit through an hour of brushing. With 10 years of age on her body, she of course is slowing down in her walking, and her bones are making themselves to be noticed - she no longer needs a lot of movement or active walks much, though she will very well accompany you for an easygoing 30-minute nature walk without a problem. At the same time, she will also be very happy with a little walk and spending the rest of the day calmly in a little garden under an apple tree, chewing on her stick and getting rubbed by her human. We love Morgan, she is really so lovely. She seems to be healthy, no medical issues have been identified or noticed during her time in the shelter. We believe that Morgan would also very much enjoy a home without other dogs, just a peaceful life together with her forever human. At the same time, coming from a pack, she could also join a home with one or more social dogs, or she could of course also be adopted together with one or both of her current packmembers - Kira & Nina.

About Morgan Shephard

What life with Morgan Shephard looks like

Morgan Shephard is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Morgan Shephard, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Morgan Shephard?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Morgan Shephard on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Morgan Shephard if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Morgan Shephard already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Morgan Shephard isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Morgan Shephard and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
