Adopt Moritz Vermittlungshilfe

Mixed Breed · Male

Moritz – sensitive family dog seeks an experienced home with peace and security; Moritz is a beautiful Borador mixed breed – likely a mix of Border Collie and Labrador, possibly with additional breeds. Standing at about 55 cm shoulder height and currently weighing around 45 kg, he not only brings size but also a lot of personality. Moritz is an incredibly loyal, affectionate, and intelligent dog who forms a close bond with his people. He loves spending time together, enjoys cuddles very much, and prefers to be close to his trusted people. Once he has built trust, he shows his wonderful character with full dedication. Typical for his breed mix, Moritz is happily active and enjoys being outdoors. He takes great pleasure in walks and even without a leash, he stays closely oriented to his people – he makes sure no one is left behind and always stays within sight. He is friendly and social with other dogs, often invites them to play, and could make a good second dog. He also lives well with cats and shows calm and compatibility with them. He is familiar with children, though due to his sensitivity, we prefer a home with quiet, older children. Unfortunately, Moritz shows significant insecurity around strangers, especially when they suddenly enter his home. In his current living situation – a very open house with constantly changing people – he is increasingly overwhelmed. Due to this insecurity, there was already an incident where Moritz snapped. The injury was fortunately minor, but it became clear that Moritz needs a different environment where he can feel safe. Therefore, we are looking for experienced, calm people for Moritz who can provide him with clear structures and security.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moritz Vermittlungshilfe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moritz Vermittlungshilfe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moritz Vermittlungshilfe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moritz Vermittlungshilfe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Moritz Vermittlungshilfe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moritz Vermittlungshilfe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moritz Vermittlungshilfe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
