Morris Peppi

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

animal rescuer: Desislava Bogdanova born: approximately June 2025 / May 2025 Gender: male Location: Bulgaria neutered: yes FIV test: negative FeLV test: negative Disabilities: Peppi has a metal plate in his leg compatible with: Children: yes Cats: yes Dogs: yes Requirements: only suitable for apartment living, NO outdoor access Balcony or terrace desired (if available, the safety is required) Morris and Peppi were both found in terrible situations on the streets of Bulgaria. The small Morris had apparently been abandoned - he did not know life on the street. Lost and helpless, he fell into an open shaft. Fortunately, his misfortune did not go unnoticed: staff from the city cleaning service opened the shaft in time and saved the little guy. Peppi, on the other hand, was discovered when he was limping through the streets on three legs. As soon as he was safe, he was presented to a veterinarian. The diagnosis was serious: a femur fracture required an extensive operation. After that, Peppi had to be kept still for over two months in a kind of cage. Today, there is hardly any sign of it - he runs, jumps and plays like any other cat. Only screws and a metal plate in his leg remain, which will stay permanently according to consultation with his orthopedist. Today, Morris and Peppi show how much love is in them despite their difficult start. At their animal rescuer, the two are very social, clingy and cuddly. They enjoy the closeness to humans and every caress. They also feel completely comfortable living with the other cats and the dog. In the foster home, Morris and Peppi met and quickly found each other. The two get along great. Therefore, we wish for the boys a shared home where they can come together and finally enjoy their happiness permanently.

About Morris Peppi

What life with Morris Peppi looks like

Morris Peppi is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Morris Peppi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Morris Peppi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Morris Peppi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Morris Peppi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Morris Peppi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Morris Peppi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Morris Peppi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
