Personality:Mowgli came into our care after being abandoned by his previous owners several years ago. A lovely neighbour looked out for him during this time but due to a change in circumstances they were no longer able to continue to. Mowgli settled quickly into the cattery environment, thankful to have a warm place to rest, regular food and plenty of love, he is straight over to greet staff and volunteers when they open his unit door. Behaviour:Mowgli is a social boy who enjoys human company, often checking in and rubbing around your legs. He has started jumping onto staff and volunteers laps paddy pawing and purring but can sometimes be a bit of a fidget and doesn’t always settle. Mowgli does enjoy playing with a variety of toys, on his own and with people; he also loves finding the sunny spots to lay in and have a good wash. Housing:Mowgli will need a home with outside access to a private garden. He cannot be homed in Gosport, PO12 area. Children/pets:Even though Mowgli is a social boy he can get a little frustrated if overhandled so for this reason will need to be adopted to an adult only home. Mowgli can get quite grumbly around other animals and has quite a few war wounds so needs to be the only animal in the property. Vet history:Mowgli is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. His second vaccination is due between 18/06/26 – 24/06/26 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Mowgli has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. Additional information:All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance.
