Mucki, the tragic figure at our shelter. She reminds us why we insist on not placing young housecats in single-housing. Mucki lived alone in an apartment with her owner, but he passed away. In her three-year life, Mucki didn't get to know anything else. Are there other cats? Mucki was amazed by building blocks and initially feared them. Are there more people? Terrifying! Is there a world outside the familiar apartment? Terrifying! Mucki has quickly become friends with the other cats at the shelter. She really missed the company of fellow animals. Interacting with people is still difficult for her, and we don't know why. She is not convinced at all that we have her best interests at heart. Mucki therefore needs people with unyielding patience and the willingness to show a still very young and traumatized cat how beautiful the world can be. An approximately equally aged, just as motivated cat should be available. It is even possible that Mucki will quickly warm up and gain trust in a more familiar environment, i.e., in a living situation with peace and security. Mucki can be rehomed in an apartment-friendly setting, but she is also young enough to learn to explore the outdoors after appropriate acclimatization and trust-building measures. She is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. This cat needs outdoor access. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

Mucki, die tragische Figur im Katzenhaus. Sie erinnert uns daran, warum wir eigentlich darauf bestehen, junge Wohnungskatzen nicht in Einzelhaltung zu geben. Mucki lebte alleine in einer Wohnung mit ihrem Besitzer, aber dieser verstarb. Mucki hat in ihrem dreijährigen Leben gar nichts kennengelernt. Es gibt andere Katzen? Mucki staunte Bauklötze und fürchtete sich erstmal. Es gibt noch mehr Menschen? Gruselig! Es gibt außerhalb der bekannten Wohnung noch eine große Welt? Furchteinflößend!Mit den anderen Katzen im Katzenhaus hat sich Mucki in Rekordzeit angefreundet. Sie hat Gesellschaft von Artgenossen wohl wirklich sehr vermisst. Mit Menschen tut sie sich noch schwer, wir wissen leider nicht, warum. Sie ist gerade überhaupt nicht davon zu überzeugen, dass wir es richtig gut mit ihr meinen. Mucki braucht also Menschen mit unbedingter Geduld und dem Willen, einer noch sehr jungen und verstörten Katze zu zeigen, wie wunderschön die Welt ist. Eine etwa gleichaltrige, genau so motivierte Katze sollte vorhanden sein. Es ist sogar möglich, dass Mucki in einer vertrauteren Umgebung, also in einer Wohnsituation mit Ruhe und Geborgenheit ganz schnell auftaut und Vertrauen fasst. Mucki kann in Wohnungshaltung vermittelt werden, ist aber auch jung genug, um nach entsprechender Eingewöhnung und vertrauensbildenden Maßnahmen auch Freigang kennenzulernen. Sie ist kastriert, gechipt und geimpft.
