Nady

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Nady - a lively fighter seeks her forever home Nady is a mixed breed, approximately 48 cm tall and weighing 17 kg. Born in June 2024. Sex: female/spayed. Location: Debrecen (Hungary) with dogs? Compatible with cats? Shy. Housebroken? No. Participation: 450,- Euro Nady - a lively fighter seeks her forever home Nady has already had to endure more in her young life than one would wish for a dog. We took over the charming puppy from another animal welfare organization after she had a serious car accident and was given a second chance. During the accident, Nady suffered fractures in her right front and hind legs. Her previous owner wanted to have her put to sleep. However, the treating veterinarians did not give up on Nady: she was successfully operated on and subsequently handed over to our care. In the meantime, the plates that were inserted could be removed - and today Nady runs and moves around full of joie de vivre, as if this difficult time had never happened. Nady also bears visible traces of her past on both hips. According to her former owner, the scars are from burns she suffered as a puppy. What exactly happened then is not known. But one thing is certain: Nady has retained her joie de vivre and her trust in people. She is a friendly, agile and cheerful young dog. Nady is an open-minded, curious, playful and lovable side. Nady wants to discover the world. She likes to go for walks, runs well on a leash and enjoys experiencing new things on the way. Of course, she is still at the beginning of her journey and wants to learn and get to know everything that belongs to a happy dog's life together with her people. With loving guidance, patience and shared experiences, she will certainly develop into a wonderful companion. Nady is very well compatible with other dogs and shows herself to be social in dealing with her fellow species. Her compatibility with cats and children has not yet been tested. Now, all that is missing for Nady's happiness is her own family. We wish for this special dog people who not only see her scars, but above all the cheerful, loving dog girl behind them. People who give her security, show her the world and finally give her the home where she can arrive and stay forever. Nady has left her past behind and looks full of curiosity forward. Now she is waiting for the people to discover her who want to write the next chapter with her. Maybe you are the person Nady has been waiting for for so long. PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in one of our dogs, we first need a self-disclosure from you. The corresponding questionnaire can be found in the respective dog's advertisement on our website www.tierschutz-pfote.de, which you can fill out online. We can arrange a meeting and a possible

About Nady

What life with Nady looks like

Nady is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. in Lohmar.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nady, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nady?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nady on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nady if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nady already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nady isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nady and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
