Nai &#8211

Mixed Breed · Female

Nai is a one-and-a-half-year-old (as of 03/26), lively female dog, who immediately wins hearts with her open nature and witty appearance. Black cow spots, joker mask, soft underjowls, and sparkling eyes – what more could one ask for? And all this distributed across a shoulder height of just under 40 centimeters and a mere 10kg of living weight. Nai currently lives in the care of mastines en la calle in Andalusia (Spain), but she was rescued by our friends from the Perrera. She had been adopted once before but had to return because the family had cats that the small terrier head couldn’t get along with. A return to the state kennel is often a death sentence, so Nai was allowed to settle into the small animal shelter of our partners until she finds real dog people who can’t be won over by house cats like our energy bundle. In nature, Nai is an absolute sunbeam. She is very people-oriented, clingy, and loves contact with people of every size, color, and build. Her cheerful nature and great joy in being together with two-legged beings make her a wonderful companion for active families or individuals who enjoy shared adventures. She also shows great socialization when it comes to other dogs. She gets along well with all dogs and approaches them openly and friendly. On walks, she already walks safely on a leash, is curious, attentive, and shows no fears. She brings a good portion of energy, but is always approachable and wants to be liked. Movement, play, and quality time with her favorite people are especially important to her. Nai wishes for people who can offer her love and security. The separation from her family is an experience Nai should never have to endure again. Our terrier Wuslon needs play, fun, and exercise for body and mind. Anyone looking for a friendly, active, and cuddly female dog who goes through life with enthusiasm and gratefully accepts affection is surely well advised to make an inquiry about Nai!

Nai lebt jetzt in 52066 Aachen. Alles Gute, Nai.

About Nai &#8211

What life with Nai &#8211 looks like

Nai &#8211 is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nai &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nai &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nai &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nai &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nai &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nai &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nai &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
