Personality:Our sweet, friendly, playful big bundle of joy Nala is looking for her forever family. She is a joy to be around and has made lots of friends since arriving at the shelter. She is very toy motivated and also has a great base level of training which can be built on in a home. She is very affectionate and would love to be a giant lap dog for her new best friends. Behaviour:Nala is a little worried by other dogs and prefers to play with her human friends so is unlikely to want to make friends with dogs on walks. She tends to avoid them and she is far more interested in her toys or a tasty treat. More training around other dogs would be really beneficial to her to help her learn they are not all scary. Nala is VERY strong on lead so will need an owner who is strong enough to walk her and commit to ongoing training to guide her towards walking on a loose lead. Housing:Nala will need a good size private enclosed garden where she can run free and let off steam. Nala was able to be left for up to 2 hours in her previous home and is crate trained so would benefit from having one in her new home. She cannot be rehomed to the PO13 area. Children/pets:Nala can live with adults and secondary school age children who are used to big dogs as she can be a bit clumsy and may jump up. She should be the only animal in the home although we would consider a home where small animals are kept completely separate. Vet history:Nala is spayed, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. Additional information:All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
