adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Nalani has found a home! Your story: Nalani was found with her mother and five siblings and was lovingly taken in. Her mother, a delicate, medium-sized mixed-breed female dog, was already allowed to move into her own home. Now it is time for Nalani, the approximately three-month-old small female dog, to find her own family for life. Currently, she is about 25 centimeters tall and weighs around 2 to 3 kilograms. Her shining black fur is complemented by a delicate white spot on her chest, and her dark, alert eyes give her a gentle and curious expression. The little crooked ears, typical for her litter, make her particularly endearing and emphasize her young, playful character. Nalani shows friendliness, affection, and openness in dealing with people and other dogs. She loves proximity, seeks contact, and enjoys slowly discovering the world. For her future, she wishes for people who will give her trust, provide support, and accompany her with patience and loving consistency. Like all young dogs, Nalani also needs clear structures in everyday life, time to learn—starting with the small puppy lessons—many positive experiences, and sufficient quiet phases. She brings wonderful prerequisites to become a cheerful, social, and faithful companion. A positively working dog training class can reliably support her, especially when puberty begins. She travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Due to her young age, she is not yet spayed, but her travel arrangements include her EU pet passport. An alternative foster home would also be a wonderful start for her. Would you like to show Nalani how beautiful a safe and loving life can be? Many thanks to Vanessa! You have given Nalani her name and thus opened the chance for a new life. Status: 06.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Vanessa! About Nalani

What life with Nalani looks like

Nalani is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nalani, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nalani?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nalani on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nalani if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nalani already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nalani isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nalani and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
