Nancy arrived in Sweden in July 2025. Since then, her human unfortunately became ill and is struggling to manage daily life with the house and dogs. He will soon have to move into an apartment, where Nancy won't feel comfortable, and her human won't be able to cope with spending time outdoors with her—her greatest joy. Taken together, this means Nancy now urgently needs to find a new home. Currently, Nancy lives in the countryside and loves her fenced-in garden, where she can peacefully ponder life. At home, there’s an older male dog whom Nancy finds perfectly fine. She doesn’t always need his company and sometimes enjoys keeping busy doing her own things. We believe she’d thrive alongside a kind and cheerful canine companion, though she could also do well as a single dog in the right home. She hasn’t yet been introduced to cats, but with gradual acclimation, this should work out fine. We’re now looking for a safe and loving home for our beautiful Nancy—a home with a slightly calmer lifestyle and a quiet location—not in a densely populated urban area. If there are children in the home, they must be somewhat older. Right now, Nancy takes great responsibility for her sick human, which is very stressful for her. She deserves a fresh start in life, where she can enjoy wonderful nature experiences, play happily with her balls, and shower her people with love. Nancy is an amazing girl and will become someone’s very best friend! Background: The Danube River flows straight through the small town of Cernavoda in Romania, where SaveTheDogs operates. Along the river, there are many incredibly beautiful areas. Upstream, far from the town, lived a fisherman with his family. They cared for several dogs as companions and protectors. One of the female dogs, Dana, gave birth shortly after Christmas 2022 to five adorable little puppies—Nancy, Mulder, Melvin, Shannon, and Walter. The fisherman couldn’t take care of all of them, so he contacted SaveTheDogs, who picked up the little family. Nancy anlände till Sverige i juli 2025. Sedan dess har husse tyvärr insjuknat och har svårt att klara vardagen med hus och hundar. Han kommer att måsta flytta till lägenhet snart och där kommer inte Nancy att trivas och husse kommer inte att klara av att vistas ute med henne som är det bästa hon vet. Detta sammantaget gör att Nancy nu snabbt behöver hitta nytt boende. Nancy bor i dagsläget ute på landet och älskar sin inhägnade trädgård där hon lugnt kan filosofera. I hemmet finns en äldre hane som Nancy tycker är helt ok. Hon är inte beroende av hans sällskap i alla lägen utan pysslar på med egna saker emellanåt. Vi tror att hon kommer att trivas tillsammans med en snäll och glad hundkamrat men kan ev även i rätt hem bo som ensam hund. Hon har inte presenterats för katter men med gradvis tillvänjning bör detta kunna fungera. Vi söker nu för vår vackra Nancys räkning ett tryggt och kärleksfullt hem där man för ett lite lugnare leverne och där hemmet är lugnt beläget – inget tätortsboende. Finns barn i hemmet måste de vara lite äldre. Nancy tar i dagsläget ett stort ansvar för sin sjuka husse vilket är betungande för henne. Hon måste få nystarta sitt liv där hon får njuta av härliga naturupplevelser, busa med sina bollar och ösa kärlek över sina människor. Nancy är en fantastisk tjej och kommer att bli någons allra bästa vän! Bakgrund Floden Donau rinner rakt igenom den lilla staden Cernavoda i Rumänien, där SaveTheDogs arbetar. Längs floden finns många oerhört vackra områden. Uppåt floden, långt från staden bodde en fiskare med sin familj. De tog hand om ett antal hundar som sällskap och skydd. En av tikarna, Dana, fick strax efter jul 2022 fem rara, små valpar – Nancy, Mulder, Melvin, Shannon och Walter. Fiskaren kunden inte ta hand om samtliga så han kontaktade SaveTheDogs som hämtade den lilla familjen.
