Adopt Nándi

Male · Young · 3 years

SIZE OF DOGS varies a lot. The following categories help you better understand the world of small, medium, large and giant dogs. It is important to take into account weight, height and body structure. This is Nándi, we estimate that he was born in February 2023. He has a medium-large size, is incredibly friendly, playful and full of energy. He walks nicely on a leash and is waiting eagerly to be adopted by a family that can provide him with sufficient daily exercise. Very many dogs, extremely many. I could never have imagined that people are so bad and can abandon such souls. At this moment I am ashamed to be part of the biped species. I have no words, I cannot express in words, the respect and appreciation for the team that takes care of them. Congratulations!!! Well done!!! People with big hearts, I had a stray puppy spayed and I only have words of praise for the man and the driver, I have thanks for their dedication and help! Honest people, they don't ask for money for sterilization, but it wouldn't hurt to leave them something if you call them.

About Nándi

What life with Nándi looks like

Nándi is a large young adult dog waiting at SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea in Sisterea.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nándi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nándi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nándi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nándi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nándi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nándi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nándi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (RO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
