Naruz Galgo

Male · Young · 2 years

(Can video) Naruz comes from the municipal killing in Madrid. Where possible, Minerva picks up dogs from there so they have a better chance of finding a new home. Naruz has only been at the animal shelter for a short time, so we can't say much about him yet. At the moment, Naruz is still reserved. He does not allow himself to be touched directly, but rather steps back at first and observes the events from a distance. Naruz is certainly not a novice dog. The handsome male dog needs a home in a rather quiet household with people experienced with galgoes, in a rural area, so that he can gradually get used to everything new. A garden should be available to help him settle in. Patient people who guide and lead Naruz calmly and lovingly with consistency and who are a friendly only dog for orientation and play will make it easier for Naruz to trust and to get used to his new life. Born: 18.02.2024, Size: approx. 65 cm, Weight: approx. 20.7 kg, Character: reserved, somewhat insecure, friendly, compatible with other animals: yes, at the animal shelter since: March 2026 Naruz travels microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, tested for all Mediterranean diseases, also a blood test of the organ values is created before travel arrangements. Naruz will be rehomed with a safety harness, a GPS tracker is mandatory. Frequently asked

Adopting Naruz Galgo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naruz Galgo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TS Fellwechsel e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naruz Galgo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naruz Galgo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TS Fellwechsel e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naruz Galgo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naruz Galgo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TS Fellwechsel e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naruz Galgo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
