Natasa aus dem Sack sucht liebes Zuhause

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Natasa, a Maltese mix female puppy, born around 2021, approximately 30-35 cm tall, spayed, vaccinated, chipped, tested for Babesiose, Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Dirofilariasis, and Leishmaniasis, is looking for a loving home. Natasa was found in a sack on a Romanian highway. We suspect she was thrown out of a car. Natasa was in heat, which may have been the reason for her abandonment instead of being spayed. She was fortunate to be discovered by a woman and her daughter, who took her in. Unfortunately, Natasa's dog reacted aggressively to the new roommate. As always, one of our animal rescuers was called for help, and Natasa was allowed to change her foster home. There, she lives with many other small dogs and cats and shows her friendly and social character. Natasa was infested with fleas, and her fur was neglected and matted. She received a first haircut and was thoroughly de-fleaed, of course also de-wormed and vaccinated. The little dog patiently endured everything - she obviously has not lost her trust in humans yet. The gentle Natasa, probably a Maltese mix, is friendly to everyone: to large and small people, dogs, and cats. And she is a cuddle queen. If the opportunity arises, she is happy about every small attention and petting. Of course, Natasa has not yet received any training, so the little dog basics should be on the agenda of her new family. We wish the lovable little Natasa with her terrible history a loving and reliable home where she can finally come to rest and stay forever. Also a foster home is possible. Natasa is still in Romania.

How do I contact the shelter about Natasa aus dem Sack sucht liebes Zuhause?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS-Strassentiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Natasa aus dem Sack sucht liebes Zuhause on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Natasa aus dem Sack sucht liebes Zuhause if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS-Strassentiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Natasa aus dem Sack sucht liebes Zuhause already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Natasa aus dem Sack sucht liebes Zuhause isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS-Strassentiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Natasa aus dem Sack sucht liebes Zuhause and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
