Naz - Dringend

Mixed Breed · Male

Naz – Urgent! Shepherd Dog Enthusiasts, pay attention—here comes the loyal Naz. Kangal female Naz (pronounced "Nass") is looking for the perfect home. Naz is a very friendly dog who is absolutely gentle and kind toward people. Of course, as is typical for her breed, she’s alert and watchful. She knows and likes children, but she’s less fond of cats. She gets along well with small to medium-sized female dogs and with male dogs (of all sizes), provided they’ve been introduced to her several times and are confident and composed. However, an initial period of getting to know each other is essential. When encountering other dogs on a leash or near a fence, she reacts strongly and not in a friendly manner. Her future owners must be firmly established and have the necessary strength to handle this 70-cm-tall dog. At 11 years old, you’d hardly notice it on this youthful-looking shepherd dog. Naz is a cheerful and utterly lovable dog who loves being petted and brushed. She can easily be left alone for hours at a time and travels comfortably in the car. As is typical for her breed, Naz has her own mind and can sometimes be a bit stubborn. Because Naz is so people-oriented, she should definitely live as part of a family rather than in a kennel or garden. Naz’s future owners should have a house with a fenced-in, secure garden that’s escape-proof. We thank Jürgen and Diana Huber, Katrin and Michael Hübner, and Andrea Tehel-Widmann, who have taken on the sponsorship of Naz.

Naz - Dringend!

About Naz - Dringend

What life with Naz - Dringend looks like

Naz - Dringend is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Selb und Umgebung in Selb.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Naz - Dringend, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naz - Dringend?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Selb und Umgebung handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naz - Dringend on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naz - Dringend if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Selb und Umgebung will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naz - Dringend already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naz - Dringend isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Selb und Umgebung early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naz - Dringend and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
