Adopt Nepomuk

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

At the sight of the little Nepomuk, every dog lover's heart goes out, for the sweet little fellow captivates with his adorable ears and the unique caramel-colored spots on his still so delicate legs. Like many of our strays, Nepomuk was also found alone and abandoned. On his foster home, Nepomuk shows openness, playfulness, and attentiveness. At first, a small shyness may appear, but once he gains trust, Nepomuk approaches people openly and curiously. Snuggling is especially high on his list. That's why it's so important that we find him a home quickly, because Nepomuk has a strong need for closeness and longs for a human heart on which he can completely rely. Of course, he still needs to learn the puppy ABCs. We are convinced, however, that Nepomuk will be a model student, as he presents himself as bright and interested. As is often the case with street dogs, there may be small uncertainties and surprises. Nepomuk therefore needs a responsible person who not only gives him love but also patience and empathy. Puberty, which will begin in a few weeks, will also be a challenge, as hormones can change, leading to a bit of turbulence, which can sometimes result in rebelliousness or forgetfulness. After the end of puberty, Nepomuk will likely be a magnificent fellow who stands loyally by his person's side. Due to the expected size, we wish for Nepomuk a home with a yard and ample freedom to move around. Long walks will bring him endless joy, and in the evenings, he will be content with a satisfied munch and pant, rolling up on his blanket as he thinks about the day's events. As he gets along well with fellow animals, a confident first dog could be a good companion for him. We cannot say for certain how Nepomuk reacts to cats. Would you like to give our Nepomuk a cozy snuggle-dog and a part of your heart? Naturally, he will bring his EU pet passport with him. Nepomuk would also be very happy with a foster home for now. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

About Nepomuk

What life with Nepomuk looks like

Nepomuk is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Arme Hundeseelen in Năsăud.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Frequently asked

Adopting Nepomuk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nepomuk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arme Hundeseelen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nepomuk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nepomuk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arme Hundeseelen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nepomuk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nepomuk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arme Hundeseelen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nepomuk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
