Nero is an imposing dog who has already gone through a lot. Originally, the strong male dog came from an "animal welfare association," who rehomed him from Eastern Europe via Facebook to Germany, in the Ahrthal. He lived in a small family with another older female dog and also regularly attended dog training classes. Nero’s basic obedience and his lead manners are excellent, except when he meets another dog, then it becomes sporty and he needs to be clearly led and held. Unfortunately, in the summer of 2021, the devastating flood hit and Nero’s family lost everything, even the parents had to be put in a wheelchair due to injuries. In the end, it was too much, and Nero barely got out of the house and was only allowed in the remaining small garden, which was not enough in the long run. Normally, an animal welfare association should stand by its former charges for life and take them back in times of need, but in this case (as so often... ), the original organization no longer wanted anything to do with it, which meant that Nero had to be rehomed to a local animal shelter, where we eventually agreed to take him in due to the urgency. At first, the big fellow found it very hard to accept the situation at the animal shelter and needed time. Nowadays, he has settled in and is a great guy who loves his people, enjoys being stroked, and seeks affection. For Nero, we are looking for dog-experienced people who can give him time to get used to everything, especially to the people themselves, and he would like to have a garden or a piece of land, well-fenced, where he can stay and be out in, which suits his nature.

Nero ist ein imposanter Hund, der bereits viel durchgemacht hat. Ursprünglich stammt der starke Rüde von einem "Tierschutzverein", der ihn über Facebook aus Osteuropa nach Deutschland, in das Ahrthal, vermittelt hat. Er lebte in einer kleinen Familie mit einer weiteren älteren Hündin und besuchte auch regelmäßig die Hundeschule. Neros Grundgehorsam und seine Leinenführigkeit sind prima, bis auf wenn er den einen oder anderen Hund trifft, denn er nicht mag, da wird es dann sportlich und er muss klar geführt und gehalten werden. Leider kam im Sommer 2021 die folgenschwere Überschwemmung und Neros Familie verlor Hab und Gut, selbst die Eltern mussten nach dem Unglück aufgrund von Verletzungen in den Rollstuhl. Alles in allem war dann am Ende doch zu viel und Nero kam so gut wie gar nicht mehr raus und wurde nur noch in den verbliebenen kleinen Garten gelassen, was auf Dauer nicht genügte. Normalerweise sollte ein Tierschutzverein ein Leben lang für seine ehemaligen Schützlinge gerade stehen und sie in der Not wieder aufnehmen, in diesem Fall ( wie so oft... ) wollte der ursprünliche Verein nichts mehr damit zu tun haben, was bedeutete, dass Nero in ein hiesiges Tierheim musste, wo wir am Ende aufgrund der Dringlichkeit zugesagt haben. Anfangs tat sich der große Bursche sehr schwer, die Tierheimsituation anzunehmen und brauchte Zeit. Mittlerweile ist er angekommen und ist ein toller Kerl, der seine Menschen liebt, gerne gestreichelt wird und Zuwendung sucht. Für Nero suchen wir hundeerfahrene Menschen, die ihm Zeit geben, sich an alles zu gewöhnen, vor allem an die Personen selbst, und er möchte gerne einen Garten oder ein Grundstück, gut umzäunt, in dem er sich immer wieder aufhalten möchte und wachen darf, was seiner Natur entspricht.
