Neya trafiła do nas razem ze swoją siostrą Kajsą w lipcu 2023. Te małe koteczki, najprawdopodobniej nigdy wcześniej nie miały kontaktu z ludźmi, co sprawiło, że obie były bardzo nieśmiałe i bały się całego świata. Po niecałym roku Kajsie udało się znaleźć dom, a Neya została w domu tymczasowym i nadal szuka kogoś kto ją pokocha. Na samym początku Neya nie chciała nawet podchodzić, aby zjeść przysmak w obecności człowieka. Jednak dzięki temu, że w domu tymczasowym są inne koty, Neya uczy się od nich codziennie zaufania do ludzi. Dzięki zabawie i pysznemu jedzeniu można zawalczyć o zdobycie jej zaufania. Teraz pozwala na delikatne głaskanie i widać, że mizianie sprawia jej przyjemność, co nawet skutkuje cichutkim pomrukiem. To pokazuje, że z odrobiną cierpliwości i pracą nad jej zadaniem Neya ma szansę na otworzenie się i pokazanie w nowym domu jakim wspaniałym kotem może jeszcze być.
