adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Neyla has found her home! Her story: Neyla could travel to her foster home in October. There, she has already settled in well. She likes to snuggle with her doggy friends and seeks their protection when something is still unfamiliar to her. Her mischievous, playful side shows when she invites play or stealthily snatches socks, paper scraps, or cuddly toys and hides them in her dog bed. On her familiar walks, she happily trots through the field, sniffs curiously, and gets excited to go mouse hunting. The confident dogs of the foster home give her security, yet she also adjusts well to people. When faced with unfamiliar sounds, quick movements, or feeling pressured, she still reacts with a start. She remains reserved towards strangers. The evening cuddle on the couch with tummy rubs is increasingly enjoyed, and at night, she seeks security in the blankets at the foot of the bed. In the morning, she greets her people with a slight tail wag. Neyla weighs 6.5 kg at a shoulder height of 25 cm. She is a light-footed, sometimes a bit headstrong character with wonderfully soft, chestnut-colored fur – a touch of Terrier included. She is house-trained and travels comfortably in the car. What Neyla needs are love, patience, and clear structures that help her feel safe, build trust, and open up further. A doggy friend or a nice doggy pal in the new home would be nice, but is not a must. Neyla is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, and dewormed. With a positive EU pet passport, she comes with you. Many thanks, Andrea H., for giving Neyla an identity. As of: 14.11.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 14.11.2025

About Neyla

What life with Neyla looks like

Neyla is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Neyla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Neyla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Neyla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Neyla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Neyla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Neyla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Neyla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
