Nicoleta &#8211

Mixed Breed · Female

Nicoleta now lives in 65399 Kiedrich. All the best, Nicoleta. Heartfelt thanks, Frau C. Nicoleta looks as though she had fallen into a bowl of flour. Many visitors think, therefore, that our friendly Podenca is already an older lady, but Nicoleta is only two years old (as of 08/2023) and a bundle of cheerful energy. Nicoleta lived in a colony near the outskirts of Huelva. There, dogs were constantly being abandoned, and eventually, the abandoned animals began to form a pack. Through access to trash, the four-legged creatures always had enough food and began to multiply uncontrollably. The city was already planning large-scale capture operations, which would have meant a certain death for the animals, but several animal welfare organizations intervened, ensuring their safety and transporting them to various animal shelters, and thus, Nicoleta came into the care of Arca Sevilla. The extremely affectionate girl has thrived in the facilities of our partner organization. Nicoleta gets along well with her roommates, is not food-jealous despite her past experiences, and approaches newcomers openly and with clear body language. When it comes to people, Nicoleta is initially shy and needs time to make contact. Certainly, the little Podenca must have gathered some bad experiences with bipeds in her life. But Nicoleta has a smart head, and in the few weeks with our friends, she has already understood that the volunteers there do not mean her any harm. She has cautiously begun to form friendships, and while she may not be at the front of the line when it comes to treats and cuddles, she does get her share after an appropriate amount of time – and when it comes to snuggling and being loved, Nicoleta finds it hard to stop once she has started! Nicoleta is looking for a home where she can arrive in peace. Children are no problem for our magic mouse, as long as they are old enough to handle the fact that she must wait for the new female dog to initiate contact, that the new best friend needs her own space, and that she will not immediately run wild in the garden. Nicoleta needs people who can give her back the lost trust, make her forget where she came from, and awaken the princess in her who likes to carry out her household business on soft cushions near the heater.

Nicoleta lebt jetzt in 65399 Kiedrich. Alles Gute, Nicoleta.

About Nicoleta &#8211

What life with Nicoleta &#8211 looks like

Nicoleta &#8211 is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nicoleta &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nicoleta &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nicoleta &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nicoleta &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nicoleta &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nicoleta &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nicoleta &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
