This charming poodle, named Nero, born on 05/03/2019, came to our shelter after his owner passed away. He stayed with family for a while, but unfortunately that was not a permanent suitable situation. Therefore, he is now looking for a new home. The family mentioned that Nero whines a lot. It may be due to the major changes following his owner's death, but we are not sure. We partially recognize this whining in the shelter: sometimes he makes his presence known, but we also see that he can calm down well. With the right guidance and a stable environment, we expect him to grow even more in this area. It is unknown if he can be left alone at home. Therefore, it is important to take this into account during the first few months and to gradually build up being alone. He could potentially be placed with another dog. A meeting will have to show whether it actually clicks between the dogs as well as with the people. We think he could be suitable for a family with children from about 8 years old, who understand how to calmly and respectfully handle a dog. During walks, he generally walks nicely along. Deze charmante poedel, genaamd Nero, geboren op 05/03/2019, is bij ons in de opvang terechtgekomen na het overlijden van zijn eigenaar. Hij heeft nog een poosje bij familie verbleven, maar helaas was dat geen blijvende passende situatie. Zodoende mag hij nu opzoek naar een nieuw huisje. De familie gaf aan dat Nero veel piepte. Mogelijk dat dit komt door de ingrijpende veranderingen omtrent het overlijden van zijn eigenaar, maar dit weten we niet zeker. Het piepen herkennen wij deels in de opvang: af en toe laat hij van zich horen, maar we zien ook dat hij prima tot rust kan komen. Met de juiste begeleiding en een stabiele omgeving verwachten we dat hij hierin nog verder kan groeien. Het is niet bekend of hij alleen thuis kan blijven. Het is daarom belangrijk om hier de eerste paar maanden rekening mee te houden en het alleen thuis zijn rustig op te bouwen. Hij zou eventueel geplaatst kunnen worden bij een andere hond. Een kennismaking zal moeten uitwijzen of het daadwerkelijk klikt tussen de honden evenals met de mensen. Wij denken dat hij geschikt kan zijn voor een gezin met kinderen vanaf ongeveer 8 jaar, die begrijpen hoe ze rustig en respectvol met een hond omgaan. Tijdens het wandelen loopt hij over het algemeen netjes mee. Daarnaast vindt hij het leuk om samen te spelen met speeltjes. Ziet u het zitten om Nero zijn nieuwe baasje te worden?
